Gjilan Director for health care and welfare Selami Xhamajli, informed that works at the social village in Gjilan are continuing with an accelerated dynamic. The village will include facilities for abandoned children, those with special needs, mother protection, the facilities for older people, dormitories for female respective male children, school etc.
He said the village is being build in cooperation with Kuwait government. Xhemajli presented at a press conference the work done so far, and spoke about successes, challenges and planning for the remaining period of this year.
He said his directory has covered the monthly rent of 48 families with difficult economic and social situation.
‘We have also initiated procurement procedures for renovation of the houses for the families in need. Families which except for the economic and social difficult situation also have children with special needs, will have priority. At the same time, we have signed an agreement with the 6+ group to build a house for a family of the Turkish community,” he said.
