Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs state secretaries, Dijana Hrkalovic and Biljana Popovic-Ivic, in separate meetings, presented Serbian arguments against membership of the so-called Kosovo in Interpol, to the diplomatic representatives of several countries, RTS reports.

Hrkalovic met with Cuban Ambassador in Serbia, Gustavo Trista del Todo and Argentinian Charge de Affairs, Juan B. Scartascini del Rio.

She underlined that eventual decision to admit so-called Kosovo in Interpol, would constitute flagrant violation of the international law, primarily UN SC Resolution 1244. She noted that membership of the so-called Kosovo would also constitute breaching of Interpol rules and procedures, which clearly define that the member of this organization must be UN member state or have an observer status in the UN.

Ambassador Gustavo Trista del Todo said that Cuba supports territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia and that his country does not recognize so-called Kosovo.

Argentinian Charge de Affairs, Juan B. Scartascini del Rio underlined that his state respects the international law and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.

Meanwhile, Popovic-Ivic met with Iraqi Ambassador Fakhri Hassan Mahdi Al-Issa and Kuwait Ambassador Yousef Ahmad S. Abdulsamad.

Ambassador of Iraq Fakhri Hassan Mahdi Al-Issa said that his state is committed to respecting international law and that stance of Iraq in relation to self-declared Kosovo remains unchanged.

Ambassador of Kuwait, Yousef Ahmad S. Abdulsamad expressed satisfaction over good political relations between Serbia and Kuwait, adding his state will with attention listen to the arguments Serbia has against the request of Pristina to join Interpol, RTS reported.
