The President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci had today a meeting with the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Palmer.
They discussed bilateral relations, political developments in Kosovo, process of Euro-Atlantic integration, process of Kosovo’s membership at international organisations, Kosovo Security Force and the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
Thaci expressed appreciation for the support of the United States for Kosovo population.
Speaking about the final phase of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, President Thaci said after the agreement between Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) with Greece, it is the turn for a historic agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
“It is a good momentum to reach a historic agreement, which ensures mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia,” he said.
On the other hand, Palmer assured Thaci that the U.S. supports the dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia.
Thaci stressed that the U.S. remain the most strategic partner of Kosovo on its unstoppable journey towards Euro-Atlantic membership.
