Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs, Nebojsa Stefanovic said that the eventual admission of Kosovo in Interpol would be “a precedent” BETA news agency reports.

Stefanovic made these remarks during the talks with Austrian and Romanian diplomacy heads Karin Kneissl and Teodor Melescanu.

Speaking on the margins of third European Union and Arab World Summit in Athens, Stefanovic noted that admission of Kosovo in Interpol would run contrary to the international law, UN SC Resolution 1244, as well as rules and procedures of Interpol.

He also spoke about the same topic with Greek Alternate Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, George Katrougkalos and ministers from Morocco and Iraq who also took part in the summit.

Minister Melescanu underlined that Romania does not recognize Kosovo and their stance at Interpol General Assembly would be in line with that.
