Colleen Hyland, US Chargé d’Affaires to Kosovo, condemned continued threats towards members of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) from the Serb and other non-majority communities saying they are harmful. “KSF has been a model for the country and their efforts to be inclusive should be celebrated and replicated, not undermined,” Hyland wrote on Twitter. Hyland’s post got retweeted by the German Ambassador to Kosovo, Christian Heldt, who added that integration into the Kosovo Security Force has improved to such a degree that certain people try to hamper these efforts. “KSF has our full support to prove multiethnicity works, not intimidation,” he wrote. The US and Germany reactions follow the most recent case of intimidation targeting a Bosniak member of the KSF in Mitrovica North.
