Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz will visit Kosovo next week. On Tuesday, he will meet President Hashim Thaci and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and will discuss dialogue with Serbia, Kosovo’s European perspective and the formation of the Kosovo Army. During his stay in Kosovo, Kurz will also meet Austrian soldiers serving in KFOR. A press release issued by Kurz’s office notes that during his visit to Belgrade and Pristina he will support the approximation of Balkans countries with the European Union and will encourage their Euro-Atlantic perspective. Kurz will also encourage dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. “An agreement through dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo is key for the full membership of both countries in the European Union … The European Union will be complete only after the membership of Western Balkans countries,” the press release noted.
