Belgrade is ready for a compromise with Pristina, but at this moment it is still far away, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said, Tanjug news agency reported.
Brnabic also noted that those from the outside should not speak about “red lines” before hearing about a possible agreement between the two sides.
The Belgrade-Pristina dialogue is already difficult, complex and emotional and it makes no sense to additionally draw some “red lines,” she added.
“These red lines can only be an obstacle. Let us, to see if we, Belgrade and Pristina, can reach some possible agreement at all, and then listen to that proposal and say it can not happen,” Brnabic told journalists.
She added it is unbelievable that when Belgrade is ready to talk to Pristina representatives, there is someone from the outside saying – this is something you cannot talk about.”
“Do not lecture us what we can and what we can not talk about. This issue is the hardest for us. We know what we can and what we cannot talk about, but don’t place red lines on it,” PM Brnabic said.
