The news website reports that “what is happening in the northern part of Kosovo bears the seal of the President of Kosovo. He wants the north in a tense situation by all means and this is his first response to the Kosovo government’s decision to introduce a tax on Serbian goods”. “Everyone was waiting for President Thaci to say a single word about the Kosovo government’s decision to introduce a customs tax on Serbian goods. He did not say anything for two days. Thaci is not known to be silent. He comments on developments all over the world and let alone developments in Kosovo. But he did not comment on the most recent economic relations with Serbia. After today’s action by special police units in northern Kosovo, it seems that Thaci kept silent only for the public and kept law enforcement authorities engaged. This is how Thaci – who keeps strict control over the prosecution, police and the AKI [Kosovo Intelligence Agency] – is going into action. What he was initially planning to do in Brussels through direct talks with President Vucic, it seems that he now wants to do that through a direct intervention on the ground. Following today’s arrests there, allegedly for resolving the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, Thaci has created ideal conditions for Serbs there to build barricades against Kosovo’s institutions. This becomes even more apparent now that police have declared wanted Milan Radojicic, a politician close to Ramush Haradinaj, and a godfather of the coalition to form the government of Kosovo, who spent most of the nights when negotiations were held to form the government in dinners with Haradinaj, Veseli, Pacolli and Limaj. It seems that declaring Radojicic a wanted person will end the ruling coalition and the Kosovo government’s plans to oppose Serbia through economic actions. If everything goes according to his plan, Thaci will regain his position which was shaken in the last couple of days. One has only to read media close to the President of Kosovo to see that everything has been orchestrated. For example, in a sourced article, Klan Kosova, whose owners are directly controlled by President Thaci, reports that “Milan Radojicic evaded Kosovo Police after someone in Pristina warned him about the action”. The article then concludes by saying that Haradinaj had recently met Radojicic in his office. Even Prime Minister Haradinaj confirmed that he communicated with Radojicic. However the allegation that Haradinaj or someone from Pristina notified Radojicic to flee is very Thaci-like. It is learned that Radojicic attended the meetings with the Serbian government in Belgrade yesterday. Even data from border police reveal that Radojicic is not in Kosovo. It is also learned that police have no information that he has returned to Kosovo. Things are expected to deteriorate. Unlike Belgrade, who is united in its positions vis-à-vis Kosovo, things in Pristina are much more different. The President of Kosovo, who is supposed to work for the country’s interests, is much closer in his positions with Vucic than with the Kosovo Government”.
