The Special Prosecution of Kosovo, has confirmed through a press release the action in Kosovo North. “By the order of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, Kosovo Police, respectively the Directorate for Investigation of Serious Crimes, and in support of other special police units, in the early hours of the morning conducted an action in the north of Mitrovica where they arrested four suspects of being involved in the assassination of Oliver Ivanovic.
In order to implement legitimate and fair proceedings for the provision of evidence and arrest of persons suspected of the criminal offense of murder of Oliver Ivanović, upon the request of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, and the order issued in writing by the Judge pre-trial detention in Pristina, some localities and properties were searched in the northern part of Mitrovica, because it is assessed that there is a real probability that important evidence for the criminal offense can be detected and confiscated in these localities, houses and properties.
During the implementation of the Court’s order of control, Kosovo Police has found illegal weapons and other material that constitute the criminal offense, which is prosecuted ex officio.
