Mayors of the four northern municipalities in Kosovo and Metohija would resign today, Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric said, according to the Serbian media.
Meanwhile, deputy chair of Srpska Lista, Igor Simic refuted this information, media continue.
“Serb representatives informed me that as of today municipal administrations in Pristina-Albanian system in the north will no longer function. Mayors of the four municipalities would submit resignations and leave the Pristina system. Neither municipal assemblies, nor any other bodies will function until discriminatory measures are revoked,” Djuric said this morning to TV Happy.
He added that Serbs in the court in Mitrovica North also ceased working.
“Pristina has violated the Brussels agreement, they wiped the floor with it, showed they are neither interested in the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, nor to respect the rights of the Serbs, free trade. Serbs have decided to draw the line, to tell we had enough, we have our institutions and the system with our state of Serbia and we will deal with that,” Djuric underlined.
Meanwhile, almost at the same time, Srpska Lista deputy chair, Igor Simic refuted in a statement to Tanjug that Serb representatives have decided to submit resignations. He said the Serb-majority municipalities in the north would have sessions at the same time, and following the sessions, decisions and conclusions would be made public. The sessions would take place in Mitrovica North, Leposavic, Zubin Potok and Zvecan.
