US Ambassador to Serbia, Kyle Scott said it is important to know where Serbia is and where is Kosovo, B92 reports.

Speaking for Prva TV morning programme, Ambassador Scott also spoke about the letter President Vucic sent to his counterpart Trump.

“I fully agree with Vucic, it is important that both sides return to the negotiation table, and to reach a comprehensive solution through dialogue. Tariffs are an obstacle (..),” Ambassador Scott noted.

He added that every agreement requires compromise on both sides. “It cannot be imposed from the outside, it has to come from here, and it should be an agreement that is lasting and implementable, not only on paper, but to implement it. We cannot force anyone, but it is in the interests of Serbia and Kosovo to reach an agreement (…),” he said.

Ambassador Scott also thinks too much significance is given to the term delineation.

“It is clear that the borders must be clear, and it is an element of a comprehensive agreement, in addition to the issues of managing resources, the rights of the Serbian community, issues of missing persons, war crimes. Still, it should be known what the line is, where is Serbia and where is Kosovo. Map of Serbia in USA and map of Serbia in Serbia are different,” Ambassador Scott emphasized.
