Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP, Ramiz Kelmendi, is supporting Assembly President Kadri Veseli’s proposal to suspend for 120 days the 100-percent import tariff on Serbian and Bosnian goods, online media report. Kelmendi said he was in favor of the tariff but that it should be provisionally suspended because it is jeopardizing Kosovo’s relations with the United States of America. “We all supported the tax. But if the tariff ruins our relations with the United States of America and the European Union … we have reached a point where we are ignoring the requests of the EU, as if the EU is not a supporting actor for Kosovo. We have also started ignoring requests coming from the U.S.,” he said. Kelmendi added that Kosovo must listen to its international partners.
