Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday that the US Congress delegation he has met with at Munich Security Conference did not provide any evidence against a former high-ranking police officer who is alleged to have been involved in the killing of Bytyqi brothers, who were US citizens, TV N1 reports.

The delegation is reported to have asked the President Vucic to locate and extradite retired police officer Goran Radosavljevic Guri, alleged of being involved in the murder of the Bytyqi brothers, arrested for crossing the border illegally. The three brothers had come to Kosovo to join the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) in 1999. Their bodies were found in a mass grave in a police base that was under Radosavljevic’s command.

Vucic said the delegation members did not ask for Radosavljevic’s extradition. “No one can ask me to extradite anyone. They can voice their hopes. They did mention him twice and I asked if they had any evidence which I did not get,” Vucic told TV N1 reporter.

He said the murder of the Bytyqi brothers at the end of the Kosovo war in 1999 was a serious crime, adding that Serbia is doing everything to investigate the case and will certainly not protect anyone who commits a crime.

Vucic added, he has told the delegation that he had seen no extraditions from the “other side” even though more than 2,000 people were killed during the NATO air strikes against Serbia.
