Speaking at the survey VOX POPULI ON THE ‘GRAND FINALE’ BETWEEN KOSOVO AND SERBIA – organized by Research Institute of Development and European Affairs (RIDEA,) Oxford Professor Anthony Heath, said the survey had for intention identification of perceptions and positions of the citizens with regards to the scenarios of the great finale between the two countries.

He said the first group of findings shows that majority of the population are against interruption of the dialogue.

“The second group of findings focuses on Kosovo’s red lines in the final phase of the dialogue.  69 % of Albanians consider that Gazivoda Lake should remain within the territory of Kosovo, Trepca should remain part of Kosovo, Presevo Valley should unite with Kosovo, while 0 percent Serbs share this opinion. Presevo Valley should remain in Serbia: 13% from Albanians and 84% of Serbs. Kosovo North (Zevecan, Zubinpotok and Leposavic) should not unite with Serbia: 91% percent of Albanians, 10% of Serbs.”

According to the survey presented by “RIDEA”, the public opinion is inconsistent and with different, contradictory positions. The survey shows that Serb population and the Albanian one have different opinions when the red lines are concerned, however they are unanimous on the need for resumption of the dialogue.
