The President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci held yesterday and today continuous meetings with the leaders of the political parties.

Last night, he had a meeting with the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) Isa Mustafa. LDK Spokesperson Besian Mustafa said the meeting was held upon President’s request. According to him, the President informed Mustafa about the visit of the U.S. officials and their demands from the governing coalition.

RTK has learned from the sources at the Presidency that a very long meeting between the White House emissaries, Kosovo negotiating team for the dialogue with Serbia, and almost all governing coalition leaders, took place today.

This meeting of majority of political leaders with the principal Director for European Affairs at the US National Security Council, John Erath, and the Balkans Director of the US National Security Council, Brad Berkley, held at President’s Office lasted more than three hours.

Officials from the President’s cabinet did not want to speak about this matter. They did not deny today’s meeting however they said that whatever was to be said about the visit of the U.S. officials, was said in yesterday’s issued press release.

Citing unnamed sources, Kohavision reports that the senior U.S. officials asked for Fatmir Limaj not to attend the meeting.
