Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, in an interview for Prva TV, which starts at 13:00 today, will speak, among other things, about Pristina’s action called “Steel Ring.”

As announced, Vucic will answer the question on what kind of messages were transmitted to him by the closest associates of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, with whom he spoke until late last night, as well as what he told them.

Vucic will also talk about the current situation in Kosovo and dialogue with Pristina, but also about other open issues.

Vucic told Prva TV that substantial dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is far away, and he is afraid the dialogue would not continue any time soon.

He noted he is troubled over a fact “that people in Serbia can not understand what is going on in Kosovo and Metohija. “We, Serbs do not want to see reality and more we pretend, more problems we create for ourselves (…),” Vucic underlined.

Asked to comment on his meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s political advisers, Vucic said he spoke with serious and responsible people.

“When it comes to the EU stance, I am obliged to say it, the EU is the one leading our talks, but I said many times there that the platform in its current form, must not be approved by Pristina. They promised it will not happen, and today these people from Brussels do not respond,” Vucic said.

Asked again by the journalist what did he discuss about with Merkel’s advisers, Vucic responded there were two important things, and one is that Serbia is expected to show restraint. “I would not go into details,” Vucic added.

Afterwards, he spoke about the tariffs and Pristina’s dialogue platform, delineation, idea to present the idea before the members of the Serbian Assembly, adding he cannot speak publicly about who supports the Kosovo Prime Minster Ramush Haradinaj in his latest “actions.”
