Prime Minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj said no person can be above the law and noted that Kosovo has sufficient capacities and courage to deal with complex cases. On Facebook, Haradinaj said today’s rule of law high-level meeting focused on the role of Kosovo institutions in fighting impunity.
“To uproot the mindset that someone can be untouchable we have invested in strengthening the Police, Prosecution, Courts, we changed and strengthened laws, and presented new punitive policies for high profile cases. Aware that we have a great deal of work ahead to demonstrate sufficient political will and determination to establish legal state, the judicial system in the stage ahead should focus primarily in successfully concluding all targeted cases and fight impunity with efficiency,” Haradinaj wrote.
