Germans don’t want Vetevendosje to lead talks with Belgrade (Rrokum)
A reliable source in the LDK-AAK-NISMA coalition told Pristina-based Rrokum TV that foreign diplomats, especially Germans, have made it clear to the coalition that they should not yield to Vetevendosje’s terms, especially the condition to lead talks with Belgrade. The diplomats have also said that blocking privatization and the establishment of the association of Serb-majority municipalities should not even be considered. “It was made clear to us that all we can do with regards to the privatization process is to review suspicious cases.” the source said. (Vetevendosje’s position is that all privatization should stop and that suspicious cases must be reviewed.) The source added that German diplomats have told coalition leaders to try and convince Vetevendosje to become more democratic. According to the same source, it was LDK leader Isa Mustafa, and not AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj, who rejected the proposal for Vetevendosje to lead talks with Belgrade. “The candidate for prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, did not change his words. It is true that he told Vetevendosje to lead the talks, but later on, there was a reaction by LDK leader Isa Mustafa. After meeting with the chairmanship of his party, Mustafa said the coalition should not accept Vetevendosje’s terms, which Haradinaj had initially accepted,” he said. The source also said that international representatives never brought up the PDK’s request for a broad-based government.
