Kirby claims that the issue of Kosovo-Serbian property will come on the agenda (Koha online)
The Ambassador of the United States in Belgrade, Michael Kirby, said that he is optimistic regarding the continuance of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. “The issue of the property will necessarily become part of the agenda, however, implementation of the agreement reached in 2013 should be much more important for Serbia,” Kirby told the Serbian news agency B92.
Asked which were these more important issues for Serbia, the U.S. diplomat mentioned first of all justice, then creation of the Serb association of municipalities, determination of the prefix and security issue.
Kirby stressed that many preparatory meetings took place on the verge of today’s dialogue in Brussels, and added that he received the report on the progress reached, last night. “But you all know that the last step is the most difficult one,” said Kirby adding that the good will exists but “the problem always stands on tiny details.”
