Farina: Warriors outside the country, not only a Kosovo phenomenon (gazetaexpress)

The outgoing Commander of the peacekeeping forces in Kosovo, General Salvatore Farina, said today during a press conference in Pristina that foreign warriors in Middle East, are not a phenomenon only in Kosovo, but in all western countries. During his last meeting with journalists from the position of the KFOR Commander, General Farina said that “this is a joint problem of democratic and developed countries.”

He considers that the arrest of 40 individuals suspected to have committed radical actions is a good signal which demonstrates the good will of Kosovo’s leadership to face this problem as well as the successful operative planning of Kosovo Police.

“I do not believe that this is a threat for the future, therefore we do not consider that Kosovo is a terrorist state. As in any other modern and democratic state, we have to make sure that it will not exceed to domestic or community violence. Violence should be condemned, terrorism should be condemned,” said General Farina.
