The Office of the Kosovo President, Atifete Jahjaga, has reacted to the statements the Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic made against Jahjaga at the Brdo-Brijuni regional summit. Jahjaga’s office said that Nikolic caused a “paradoxical situation” and reverted to his old rhetoric after being outraged by the serious and equal treatment of Kosovo in the summit.

“While he [Nikolic] was speaking about Kosovo as a non-existing country and his problem with President Jahjaga representing Republic of Kosovo everywhere, President Jahjaga was sitting around the table with her regional counterparts and the Austrian President Fischer, all from countries that have recognised independence of Kosovo, to discuss regional cooperation,” the statement from Jahjaga’s office reads.
