Opposition ignores the Quint Ambassadors (Zeri)
Kosovo opposition will not revoke its decision to block the Assembly, despite the continuous criticism of the representatives of the Quint states. Furthermore, representatives of the opposition claim that the internationals’ request to unblock the Assembly is reasonable, however, they stressed that this will entirely depend if the governing coalition decides to withdraw the recent agreements on Association and on demarcation.
One of the biggest criticizers for the blocking of the Assembly works, is US Congressman, Eliot Engel, who expressed his concern in the congratulating letter for Kosovo’s signing the Stabilization Association Agreement with EU. “I must express my concern for the current political situation. First of all, violence does not have room in politics. Opposition has the right to express its positions and they should be heard by the government. However, there is no space for teargas and turbulences at the public square. They help and strengthen the viewpoints which would object recognition of Kosovo and the prosperity that it deserves,” wrote Engel on his message.
On the other hand, spokesperson of the Vetevendosje movement, Frasher Krasniqi, said for this daily that implementation of the agreements with Serbia and Montenegro would make Kosovo a dysfunctional state, ethnically divided, and with potential for turbulences and conflicts, without perspective for economic development. As consequence, this would make Kosovo’s integration in the EU impossible.
