The Government of Kosovo issued a communiqué today condemning an incident on Tuesday night. Unknown persons set Minister for Agriculture, Memli Krasniqi's family car on fire. “This unprecedented criminal act, which is part of series of recent attacks against the legitimate heads of institutions and Minister Krasniqi, by anarchist parapolitical groups, aims to create an atmosphere of violence and intimidation and to obstruct the work of the Government of Kosovo and the concrete results of the Ministry of Agriculture as one of the priority sectors for the country’s economic development,” the communiqué said. “The Government calls on law enforcement authorities to undertake all legal measures against the perpetrators of such criminal acts and to prevent such acts from happening in the future”.
