Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Hashim Thaci reacted harshly to the burning of Minister for Agriculture, Memly Krasniqi's family vehicle. He wrote on his Facebook page that this attack has clear political motives which openly violate pluralism, freedom of expression and opinion. “With deep indignation, I harshly condemn the ugly act of burning Memli Krasniqi’s family vehicle last night. This ugly act aims at terrorizing Krasniqi's family and blackmailing Minister Krasniqi into withdrawing his political positions. This was an attack with clear political motives which openly affects pluralism, freedom of expression and opinion,” wrote Thaci.

I express my regret and solidarity with the Krasniqi family for the serious event that they had to face and assure them that all honorable citizens of Kosovo consider this act to be unacceptable and reprehensible. I appeal to the bodies of public order to act immediately on bringing the perpetrators of this low vandal act in front of the justice,” Thaci wrote.
