Pristina Municipality interrupts illegal works at the Orthodox Church (Klan Kosova)
Pristina Mayor, Shpend Ahmeti, informed through a status on his Facebook page that Pristina Municipality inspectors have noticed today at the Orthodox Church that some unofficial individuals have started works there.
After many reporting about the works, the Directory of Pristina Municipality Inspection went today at the site.
“The Directory of the Inspection noticed a few individuals who refused to be legitimized, working on cleaning the premises. It was noticed that under the claims of cleaning, they painted some of the walls where different slogans were written.
The Municipality of Pristina interrupted this activity and requested from the individuals involved to submit today to the Inspectorate Directory all official documentation on these works. We have also requested submission of any paper or permission to work by the government of the Republic of Kosovo that they might possess.
The Municipality of Pristina does not possess any documentation on this building. For more than a year we have been appealing to all parties to submit the relevant documentation, but were ignored. We will implement the law on competencies of the municipality and we call on all the parties and all institutions to function in accordance with the Law on Building,” wrote Ahmeti.
