Prime Minister Mustafa indicates meeting with opposition on demarcation (media)
Kosovo Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, said today that he would make efforts to coordinate positions with the opposition before resubmitting the border demarcation deal with Montenegro to the Kosovo Assembly. “I think we will meet with the opposition be it directly or in other ways with the participation of foreign ambassadors too. We will try to coordinate our positions before resending the agreement to the Assembly. This is why I am not in a hurry because we need to exhaust all possibilities of dialogue with the opposition in order for demarcation to be a result of a mutual understanding,” he said. Mustafa said that every parliamentary group is entitled to address matters to the Constitutional Court, but added that he believes the Court will make a positive decision on the issue of the Trepca law. “We in government have asked the Constitutional Court to suspend all activities related to Trepca in order not to put the mining complex in jeopardy. I believe nothing will be endangered and that everything will proceed normally. The law on Trepca is an advanced law that will provide a bright future for the mining complex,” Mustafa added. Asked to comment on the eventual government reshuffling or the downsizing of ministries, Mustafa said a decision on the matter has yet to be made.
