Kosovo’s Minister for Dialogue, Edita Tahiri, said that the intention of the dialogue with Serbia in Brussels is reciprocal recognition of statehood.

She said at the round-table organized by Kosovo’s Democratic Institute, that many things were reached through dialogue, including dissolving of the parallel structures which were acting in Kosovo. “I do not remember that there were protests in Kosovo against the parallel structures. The Brussels dialogue started in 2011 and we have set dissolving of the parallel structures of all fields among the main topics, their dismissal by Serbia, in order for Serbs to participate and integrate in Kosovo’s state system,” Tahiri said.

She also added that Kosovo’s negotiating team is requesting from Serbia to remove Kosovo from its Constitution. “We have made it clear to Serbs that the essence of normalization is mutual recognition,” Tahiri said.
