Deputy President of the Assembly of Kosovo, Xhavit Haliti, said that the border between Kosovo and Montenegro was predetermined and Kosovo institutions cannot move it despite the major objections of the opposition parties and civil society.

He said that state commissions are hiding this and added that he does not trust them. “I do not trust any commission , neither the one that agrees or the one that does not agree, because they have led the population towards a dead end. The problem is that the truth is not being said,” Haliti said reiterating that the border was predetermined and it cannot be moved.

“I think that the only way to avoid polarisation of the political situation in Kosovo, for the EU to in a way have into consideration the situation and prevent aggravation of the relations with Montenegro and NATO, is for the governments of Kosovo and Montenegro to agree to accept an arbitrage,” Haliti said.
