Veseli: KSF main partner in Kosovo for KFOR (RTK)
President of the Kosovo Assembly, Kadri Veseli, told Kosovo Security Force (KSF) cadets at the “Adem Jashari” barracks today that he called for a meeting to discuss Kosovo entering an important process of KSF transformation into an army. “You have created the possibility of Kosovo facing a historic decision,” Veseli told the cadets. He said a Kosovo army would serve all citizens and work on good relations with all neighbours. The army would also serve “a sacred goal”, Veseli said, that of “defending our country.” Veseli noted that the KSF reached necessary capacities to change its mandate as of 2013 but that political consensus on the issue was not achieved. He underlined that KSF transformation would not change anything in Kosovo’s relations with KFOR and that “NATO finds in KSF its main partner in Kosovo.”
