Serbian PM’s statement on north’s autonomy does not cause surprise in Pristina (Kallxo)
The statement of the new Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic over the idea of a broad autonomy for the north of Kosovo has not come as a surprise to Pristina analysts.
Behlul Beqaj said he expected such a statement from the Belgrade government. He said he has warned that the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities is a ‘Trojan Horse’ in Kosovo and that it was wrong to agree to its establishment. Analyst Ramush Tahiri said implementation of Brnabic’s idea depends on the will of the two sides. “It could very well end in autonomy in the north and autonomy in the Presevo Valley or even autonomy in Sandzak. It depends on who presents what demands and how ready the parties are to accept them”, Tahiri said.
