Gjilan/Gnjilane Mayor, Lutfi Haziri, met Caroline Onekalit from the UN Office in Kosovo’s community support and signed a memorandum of understanding regarding a USD 27,000 investment in public infrastructure in areas where different communities live. Haziri said there funding will be provided for the “Green Market” project near the Orthodox Church building in the city. “This investment will provide a good solution and create favourable conditions for the sale of different products, mainly agricultural,” Haziri said.

The representative from the UN’s Office for community support, Onekalit, said they have always supported projects aimed at cohabitation between communities and integration of all citizens regardless of their ethnic background.
