Anti-Americans are in power (Koha Ditore)
In his weekly column for the paper, Enver Robelli writes that faced with the increasing revolt of the people of Kosovo against corruption, the ruling coalition between the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) hatched a “fictitious affair” to accuse the opposition and civil society of being behind a petition asking for the removal of the US Ambassador Greg Delawie from Kosovo. “The aim was to use this cold weapon to stab the political rivals in the back, as is the tradition of many PDK leaders,” writes Robelli. However, this plan backfired and it was revealed that neither the opposition nor the civil society were behind the petition against the US ambassador but in fact a German “mercenary” close to Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) structures which are today a decision-making factor in the PDK, says Robelli. The petition in question has led to hysteria around the question of who, from the government officials and the media outlets, would sound more pro-American with the public broadcaster RTK dedicating the story 15 minutes of prime time. Instead, the media and the politicians should have unmasked the initiator of the petition for the convicted killer he is and warned the people not to fall into his trap, suggests Robelli.
