Popovic-Ivkovic in Doha on Kosovo and Interpol (B92)
Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs, State Secretary Biljana Popovic-Ivkovic met with the Prime Minister of Qatar, Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, B92 reports.
Ivkovic presented to the Prime Minister Al Thani stances and the arguments of the Republic of Serbia against Kosovo request to become Interpol member.
She noted that eventual admission of Kosovo in Interpol would constitute violation of the international law, politicization of this professional police organization and would have far-reaching consequences for its expert nature.
Al Thani expressed understanding for Serbia’s stances and recalled that Serbia and Qatar have good and friendly relations.
