Serious crimes department of the Basic Prosecution in Gnjilane, following investigation, raised an indictment against Novo Brdo mayor Svetislav Ivanovic, over as they said, misuse of official authority, Radio KIM reports.

Svetislav Ivanovic told RTV KIM he does not know anything about the indictment, and that he went to the prosecutor’s office and gave a statement.

According to the indictment from November 15, 2017, Ivanovic as official person, in the capacity of Novo Brdo mayor, overstepped his authorization in relation to two hunting associations, thus allegedly causing material damage in the amount of 12.200 EUR.

“I visited the prosecutor over hunting association, and for the rest I do no know what it is about. We have one hunting association, and the other one wants to impose itself. Hunting associations have disagreement among themselves and want to involve the municipality in it,” Ivanovic told RTV KIM.
