Rakic: Vucic’s message is our greatest protection (Beta, Politika, N1)
President of the Serbian List, Goran Rakic says that the biggest support to the Kosovo Serbs was “a clear message” of the President of Serbia President Aleksandar Vucic who said he would not allow the expulsion of Serbs (from Kosovo).
Goran Rakic told the Belgrade based daily Politika that with help from Serbia, Kosovo would not experience a humanitarian catastrophe.
„There is no single action against the Serbs which Pristina hasn‘t taken so far. I want people to know we won‘t voluntarily accept our life in Kosovo to stop,“ he said.
Asked by the daily whether he has confidence in KFOR that it would stand in the defense of the Serbs, since every day there were talks about intrusion of ROSU, assisted by the "army of Kosovo", in the north, the occupation of Trepca, Jarinje and Brnjak, Rakic responds that in the case „KFOR should have a clear, decisive and adequate answer.“
‘’Though we have bad experiences… I hope that this even a smaller number of KFOR soldiers will have clear support from their countries to prevent any form of violence,“ Rakic told Politika.
He warned that if someone thought the calls for peace and safety was a sign of weakness and Serbia’s incapability, “they couldn’t be more wrong.”
“This nation decided that there's no backwards from here,” Rakic said, adding "the education and health services have always been and will always be a part of Serbia’s systems.”
“We have never interfered with who medically treats the Albanians, so we ask for the same right,” he added.
