Dialogue is not transparent (RTK2)

There are many shortcomings in the process of dialogue, and some of them are lack of transparency and lack of care for the citizens, was said at the meeting of the Group for Political and Legal Studies in Pristina.

"We demand accountability of the Government of Kosovo as a party of the agreement that was reached in Brussels," said Fisnik Korenica, stating that the main points of the agreement are not being implemented.

"There are points that are not being implemented, and are related to the parallel structures which still exist in the north. The issue of integration of security structures in Kosovo institutions, freedom of movement and border control are the topics that were adopted on April 19, and which are not implemented", said Korenica on behalf of the group for political and legal studies.

MP in the Kosovo Assembly, Vijosa Osmani, pointed out the lack of transparency of the process as one of the problems in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

"In addition to the agreement that was ratified on April 19 in Brussels, and which was ratified by the Assembly of Kosovo, all other agreements are hidden from the public. But we have come to them through other media. I believe that citizens of Kosovo, especially those who live in the north, don’t see essential improvement in their lives. If in three years we've accomplished nothing, I believe that we have a lot of stumbling, "said Osmani.

"We need to focus on processes that are affecting the lives of citizens," is the message of Ilir Deda, deputy of the Self-Determination. "There is no normalization if we enter into the internal affairs of the state, there is no normalization if in the dialogue Prime Ministers have nice relations, and the citizens have no idea about the agreements of their governments," said Ilir Deda.

Political analyst Behlul Becaj points out that the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina takes place at the level of political representatives, who are burdened by the power, and not the problems of the citizens. "They are anxious to fulfill their missionary tasks of approaching the process of European integrations", said Becaj.

Technical representatives of the Government of Kosovo have refused to participate in this debate, what participants of this debate rated as irresponsible towards the citizens of Kosovo, expressing the hope that the future government will be more responsible.
