Vulovic: This way they are trying to discredit us (Vesti)
By order of the EULEX prosecutor, Kosovo police last Tuesday attempted to serve summons for questioning to the mayor of Zubin Potok Stevan Vulovic and former president of the municipality Slavisa Ristic. Apparently, Vulovic is charged with organizing the escape of Slobodan Sovrlic from the police station in the village, and Ristic, as speculated, was called in for questioning due to several things, among others, for his involvement in organizing the barricades.
Summons still are not delivered to them because they were not on their addresses. The residents were frustrated by this move, and today they announced a protest in Zubin Potok, from which, as announced, will send a clear message to Pristina, Belgrade and Brussels.
- I’m on a business trip and I am currently abroad. I heard that they were looking for me, and that I have to give a statement because of a serious criminal offense I supposedly committed. I heard they’ve wanted Ristić for several alleged crimes - said in a telephone interview Stevan Vulovic adding that in his life he did not hurt a fly, and that it is a provocation and an attempt to intimidate the Serbs in northern Kosovo.
- It bothers them our Serbian unity, they are bothered by our strong group in the Assembly and a good relationship with the international community. In this way they are trying to discredit us and use for their inter-Albanian clashes over the authority. I have no intention of responding to their provocations, this is a matter of our country which will, I hope, react as it should - says Vulovic.
