Djuric: No normalization if Pristina ignores the agreement (Beta)
Director of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric assessed that there won’t be further normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, if Pristina continues to ignore obligations deriving from the Brussels agreement.
“We don’t think that further progress in normalization of our relations is possible if Pristina would permanently ignore its obligations from Brussels agreement, however I also think that Pristina won’t be, even if it would wish so, in position to permanently ignore its obligations precisely from the reason that it is about obligations which have been assumed in front of the entire international public,” said Djuric in his interview to daily Politika.
“In the end, EU is a sort of guarantee of implementation of the agreement,” said Djuric and added that Belgrade is campaigning for the establishment of the Community of Serbian Municipalities.
“We are fighting for it, that our people have the biggest authority and rights possible in conditions when Serbia is not present in security and institutional terms and we will, through this struggle of ours and the political endeavor we participate in, provide survival in Kosovo and Metohija,” said Djuric.
