EU expects Serbia to join Brussels' positions (Tanjug)

BELGRADE - The EU expects Serbia to slowly join its positions, says Ernst Reichel, the German Foreign Office Special Envoy for South-Eastern Europe, Turkey and the EFTA States.

A common expectation of all EU member states is that Serbia should slowly join the EU positions - there are important and less important issues, and an issue such as the territorial integrity of Ukraine is a significant issue of this era, Reichel said in a statement to Tanjug late Wednesday on the fringes of the 4th Belgrade Security Forum.

Of course, we would like the support to Ukraine's territorial integrity, including the Crimea, to be concrete and specific, Reichel said.

The joining of the embargo would be significant to us, but we understand that Serbia has a problem with that, Reichel said, adding that joining the EU positions is a process that, understandably, is still not complete.
