Representatives of the Association of Đakovica/Gjakovë have requested assistance from the Office for Kosovo and Metohija to create conditions for their collective return to Kosovo, and of all others from the province. They also requested their houses to be reconstructed.

After a meeting with the Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo the chairperson of the Association Đokica Stanojevic said that the requested and conditions to be created for them to visit graveyards, along with visits on occasions of celebration of religious holidays at the Monastery in Đakovica/Gjakovë, and added that they believe that Office will do everything it can in order to meet their requests.

Stanojevic  reminded that they are not able at the moment to visit their town because KFOR and EULEX can’t guarantee their safety after last year stoning in Đakovica/Gjakovë.
