Within the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina should be discussed all property of Serbia in Kosovo and Metohija, not only “Trepca”, says Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Veljko Odalović. 

Veljko Odalovic, recalled that "Trepca" is not the only company whose assets should be discussed. "There are ski resorts, a large part of the assets of Telekom, Post of Serbia, Serbian Petroleum Industry (NIS), etc." said Odalović. He recalled that Serbia is still repaying the international debts of province Kosovo, while the property is currently outside the control and possession of the Serbian Government.

Odalović said that representatives of international institutions showed a high degree of understanding for this topic and that the international community has recognized that this topic should be treated differently. 

He recalled that Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic a year ago opened the issue of property and that the Mining and Metallurgical Combine "Trepca" has always been the pillar of development of the southern provinces.

Odalovic emphasized visibly different situation in Trepca Complex south and north of Iber/Ibar River. He said that part of Trepca run by Kosovo institutions is now totally destroyed and abandoned, while the part run by the Serbian people in northern Kosovo and Metohija is functioning.
