First time in 16 years one ‘voice of reason’ (KIM Radio)
“This is the first time in 16 years to hear the ‘voice of reason’ from Kosovo and Metohija. Baton Haxhiu publicly said that someone has to apologize for the stoning of Serbs from Đakovica, on the most important Serbian holiday,” said Đokica Stanojevic, President of the Association of the people from Đakovica/Gjakova, commenting Haxhiu’s statement.
"As before, the Serbs from Djakovica do not expect a call from institutions in this town to visit their monastery and the graves of their ancestors, for religious holidays," was said. The Association is feeling sorry for the fate of missing Serbs, Albanians, Roma, Gorani and others.
Director of Television Klan Kosova, Baton Haxhiu, yesterday said that mayor of Đakovica/Gjakova Mimoza Kusari-Lila should apologize to displaced Đakovica citizens who are stoned on Christmas Eve, instead of sending them message not to come to Djakovica on upcoming All Souls' Day. According to Haxhiu, Mayor of Đakovica/Gjakova should accept that IDPs come to this city. "She has a populist approach and that is not good. At the end there are no Serbs in Đakovica/Gjakova, so what do they fear of," said Haxhiu.
