Vucic and Djuric with Serbs from Kosovo: Decision on participation in Kosovo institutions after meeting in Brussels (Blic)
The decision on the further participation of the Serbs in Kosovo institutions will be made next week, after a meeting in Brussels, said the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric.
After a meeting between representatives of the Serbian list with Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, Djuric told reporters that all future steps will be decided solely and in the interests of the Serbian people. According to him, at the next meeting will participate all provincial ministers, mayors and representatives of Serbs in Kosovo's institutions, as well as Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.
Djuric said that the dismissal of Serbian minister in the Kosovo government Aleksandar Jablanović is a unilateral move, which makes difficult continuation of the dialogue in Brussels.
He pointed out that the Government of Serbia, as well as all representatives of the Serbs in the provincial institutions consider that Jablanović did nothing wrong and do not accept responsibility for increasing tensions in the province. Djuric said that the Serbian list is not a source of instability, but contributes to building relationships and normalization in the province.
The former Minister for Communities and Returns in the Kosovo government, Aleksandar Jablanović said that in the next few days the Serbian List will not be represented in the Assembly of Kosovo and other institutions. “Further steps will be undertaken in consultation with representatives of the Government of Serbia and the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija next week, and with the aim of survival of Serbs in Kosovo,” said Jablanović after a meeting with Vucic and Djuric.
Jablanović said that "he knows he did nothing wrong."
