Pantic: The seizure of property in Kosovo will be a model for others (Radio Kontakt Plus)
Krstimir Pantic, MP in the Parliament of Serbia, said that the issue of property rights is unchangeable category everywhere in the world and that it must be valid also in Kosovo and Metohija. "If we allow Kosovo to seize Serbian state property then this would be a bad example, which will be a model for resolving similar issues. This will mean that we are still in the period when the force had primacy over the law and justice," he said.
Commenting on the dismissal of the Kosovo Minister Aleksandar Jablanović, Pantic said that Albanians sent a message to the MPs of the Serbian List not to rely too much on Belgrade and that their government is - a government of Kosovo.
"At the same time this is a message to Belgrade not to influence political processes and decisions that are made in Pristina. Albanians obviously had the support of Brussels and Washington for the dismissal of Jablanović. At the same time this is a response to Aleksandar Vulin and to his statements after release of Vojislav Seselj from The Hague, because Jablanović is a member of Vulin’s political party," he said.
Pantic said that one should not have too high expectations from the Community/Association of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) because, as he explained, the green light for its establishment will be given by the Assembly of Kosovo and the jurisdiction of ZSO will depend only of the decision of Pristina Assembly.
Pantic said that he doesn’t believe that the Albanians in Kosovo wish repetition of March pogrom, which in the last days can be heard in the media. "Only politicians can produce conflicts, because instability in the region suits them. Instead of the policy of force and repression, to which we have been exposed over the past 15 years, it is necessary to establish a political and social dialogue with the Albanians because they live equally bad as the Serbs," said Pantic.
