The Park of Peace in Mitrovica, across the main bridge on the river Ibar, is not going to be removed and a compromise-based solution will be found, said the mayor of North Mitrovica, Goran Rakić, commenting on a statement of the Kosovo minister for dialogue, Edita Tahiri, that the bridge needs to be removed.

Rakić told RTK in Serbia that it had been agreed in Brussels that a solution to satisfy both sides – the northern and southern Mitrovica – must be found. The park was placed in June last year after concrete barricades were removed from the bridge.
