Jevtic: Only one family has returned to Kosovo (RTS)
Minister for Communities and Return in the Kosovo government Dalibor Jevtic said that there was no meaningful return of displaced persons from Kosovo in latest five months and that only one family has returned to village Crkolez in Istok/Istog Municipality, which is the only officially registered return in said period, reported Tanjug.
Jevtic expects the creation of an inter-ministerial group in order that other ministries and institutions assist in the process of return. “I expect that proposal for creation of the inter-ministerial group is adopted already next week,” said Jevtic and voiced expectation that the group will become operational in the course May.
Jevtic said that the role of the Serbian Government in the process of return of displaced persons to Kosovo is very important and added that policy of the Serbian Government has changed a lot in positive terms, since it became more transparent.
He reflected on the recent attacks on Serb returnees in Kosovo and underlined that every attack on returnees, no matter on whether it is about robbery or something else, presents the attack on the process of return of displaced persons to Kosovo.
