Surroi: The establishment of the Special Court complicated process (Blic)

''The process of the establishment of Special Court happens for the first time and of course that it requires the time and energy. On the other hand, it is obvious that part of the MPs within the Kosovo parliament are afraid of the Special Court'', said Journalist and publicist from Kosovo, Veton Surroi.

Commenting the implementation of the Brussels Treaty, he said that Pristina, Belgrade and the international community should be more ambitious at the beginning of the process, creating situation that does not mean mandatory recognition, but establishing a relationship on a higher level,'' said Surroi.

He believes that the recognition of Kosovo is certain and that presents a problem for both parties. ''Of course it was not logical to ask Belgrade to immediately recognize Kosovo. What was logical was that Belgrade and Pristina establish a relationship to the level that is below the recognition, but much beyond what we have today'', said Surroi.

Speaking about the Serbs in Kosovo and their representatives, Surroi said that the impression is that Kosovo Serbs '”do not have people who think for themselves, stressing they act the way Belgrade tells them to act.”
