Ivanovic: There are lists of arrests of Serbs in Kosovo (Politika,Vesti, TV Most)
President of the Serbian National Council of Northern Kosovo Milan Ivanovic said that senior officials of Serbia and the international community have confirmed to him that there are lists of arrests of Serbs in Kosovo.
"Lists that exist in Kosovo and Metohija for the arrest of Serbs are in the function of the ethnic cleansing Kosovo and Metohija of the remaining Serbs in the north and the creation of a Greater Albania," said Ivanovic to TV Most in Zvecane/Zveqan.
Ivanovic said that senior international officials said, and officials in Belgrade have confirmed that there is a list of 18 Serbs, where is he.
"Another list of 34 people for arrest is mentioned and most likely they are waiting the establishment of the Tribunal for crimes of the KLA – because of the 'balance' and the Serbs must be tried," said Ivanovic.
He compared the arrest of Serbs in Kosovo with the detention of Vojislav Seselj and stressed that they are prevented from a fair and just defence, as well as a fair and proper trial.
Lawyer Miodrag Brkljac explained to TV Most that an invitation to go to the police station to provide data by itself does not mean the arrest, but usually ends so for the Serbs in Kosovo.
He backed his statement with the case of his client Dragan Delibasic, who was arrested nearly half a year ago and is still in custody and charges were not filed.
Vice-President of CI SDP - Oliver Ivanovic, Ksenija Bozovic reminded that the leader of the initiative went for an interview on the call of EULEX, which lasted until the early morning hours and then he was taken into custody where he is more than six months.
Announcement of the arrests of the current and former president of the municipality of Zubin Potok Stevan Vulovic and Slavisa Ristic and suspicion of the existence of secret lists for the arrest of Serbs were the reason for last week's protest in Zubin Potok, from which the international community was asked to stop the intimidation of Serbs in Kosovo.
"We have concluded that we will consider further cooperation with EULEX judges and prosecutors and other international missions, we will reconsider our participation in Kosovo institutions and we have warned those who decide about it to stop the pressure on the Serbs," said Bozovic.
