Brussels agreement about the Peace Park in Mitrovica provides that works on the reconstruction of the main bridge over the Ibar/Iber River, between Mitrovica South and Mitrovica North, should start on 15 October.

According to the draft project, that RTK2 had insight to, and which is in line with the Brussels agreement, Peace Park will be removed following reconstruction of the main bridge over the river, whereas roundabouts will be on both sides of the bridge, along with the sports playground in the north and children playground under the bridge. Mitrovica North authorities have announced further changes in the infrastructure around the bridge. ​
