Last night in Mitrovica, the Patriotic Block has started with signing of the petition which will be forwarded to the Assembly of Serbia, the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic, in order to organize local elections in northern Kosovo. The Patriotic Bloc was made up of parties Dveri and the Democratic Party of Serbia, as well as the group of most prominent Serbian intellectuals.

Signatures are being collected for calling local elections in the municipalities of Mitrovica, Zvecan/Zveqan, Zubin Potok and Leposavic/Leposaviq, which are disbanded by the decision of the Government of Serbia on 10 September 2013.
